The Belize Zoo receives no funds for operating from the government, and must raise all monies to meet its challenging budget. Undoubtedly, a large reason for the continued success of the zoo, is the support received from zoo members. Every dollar received for zoo membership goes directly into fueling this important conservation and education facility. However, funds can be designated for particular areas of zoo operations, such as education, or animal management. We have established three different programs for supporting the Belize Zoo.
Our "Adopt an Animal" program will see that funds contribute to the maintenance of a particular species. Our animals are very special. We treat them very well. That means they get the best of everything. Keeping all our animals well-fed and properly cared for takes money. Now you can help us care for our furried and feathered friends by adopting an animal for a year. Your dollars go into food, medicine and pampering of your chosen adoptive animal. * Here is the "WHO'S WHO FOR YOU" in the Zoo Adopt an Animal Program and the annual fee:
