You are summoned to embark upon a challenging journey unraveling the mystic beauty and intricate secrets of a vital and vibrant natural world. Your journey will take you down the meandering Sibun River, across unexplored savanna and bring you face to face with some of Belize's most magnificent wildlife. Why watch on TV what you can experience in person??? Every year during the month of July, the Belize Zoo's Education Department offer its Conservation Camp in two, five days overnight sessions on the grounds of the Tropical Education Center located at mile 29 next to the zoo. Students, local or international, between the ages of 12 and 17 years (no exceptions) are invited to join the education staff as they journey into the natural world. The goal is to further ones knowledge and appreciation of the environment, while equipping students with conservation minded attitudes and actions.
